Reborn

Mortal Kombat Blu ray Kevin Tancharoen

Mortal Kombat Blu ray Kevin Tancharoen

I loved the original MK movie.
It was fun, campy and had great fights and effects for its time.
Part two destroyed what could have been an excellent franchise.
Now many years later MK has been reborn though the internet.
A new guy named Kevin Tancharoen who is a big fan of the series decided to do a web series that breathed new life into the franchise.
I sort of blew it off until I saw it was available on Blu Ray.
I bought it...I loved it.
The web series is so good they are letting Tancharoen reboot the whole franchise.
In the hands of a diehard fan the MK franchise is going to be so awesome.
But as far as Legacy goes...brilliant.
Brilliant fights.
Awesome FX for a web series.
And yes, a story that finally does the MK universe some justice.
Thank you Kevin, may the Nether Realm be with you.

I just found out that the Mortal Kombat teaser that made the rounds last year was made into a full blown web series. And it is awesome! I am glad that Warner is releasing this on Blu-ray and I hope it is promoted properly and sells well for them. This show needs to be developed into a full TV series or theatrical movie. And what better way to finance the project than by giving it's fans a beautiful 1080p transfer of the show that they originally enjoyed on their computer screens. What better way to say "thanks for the cool show" then by purchasing something you know you will want in your collection.

For all the naysayers out there who feel that people shouldn't buy this because it is "free on the internet", all I can say is shame on you. If you don't like a show, that is one thing, but to tell people not to buy it because it is free is pretty much saying "I don't support good product. I am a whiny baby that wants everything for free, even if it means that I will only get one season of web episodes instead of a full TV series or movie." You people are the reason that the anime industry has fallen apart. People who insist on getting stuff for free on the internet as if it were some sort of constitutional right are destroying cool projects. The point of these releases is to support the creative folks who have put a lot of money into something that they hope will pay off in a successful series. But all the internet generation seems to understand is "give it to me for free and when I've bled it dry, I'll go find someone else who will give it to me for free and bleed them dry."

Why not try supporting things you like instead of killing them off.

Ever since I saw the trailer last year , I knew a proper Mortal Kombat series or movie is on it's way , now the ball is in our court to support by buying this product .

The first movie was epic and the sequel was craptacular. But this was more epic then the first. It had everything that should've been in the films...actual gore. Yeah this is free on youtube but its still going to worth it with the special features and it being on BluRay

This was excellent! Any mortal kombat fan will thoroughly enjoy this. Its only short but well worth it. Ive also heard that the makers of this were given the green light to make a full length movie with $100 million to play with. This is made by a die hard mortal kombat fan for die hard mortal kombat fans.

I just can not believe that someone on the corporate site may have seen a bigger picture. This web series is a good start. Let's see what is next.
