LOreal Paris Professional Eyeliner Midnight

LOreal Paris Professional Eyeliner Midnight

I searched Amazon for a name brand mascara that I had used previously, and it displayed other mascaras that people had looked at along with the one I had searched for. This one which was about $10 less expensive, so I thought I would give it a try. The packaging and tube were very understated compared to the name brand, and I realized that I had inadvertently ordered Black/Brown instead of Black which I've always used in the past. I decided to keep it, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's just a shade lighter than black and probably looks a little more natural with my blonde hair. But the biggest surprise was how nicely it thickens my thin lashes with no clumping. Like the name brand mascara, it doesn't irritate my eyes, and it seems to stay on better than other one did, yet I can easily remove it with a tissue and water at the end of the day.

I am surprised at the reviews that says this product bleeds. I bought the eggplant color elsewhere and I was blown away! It is even better than the more expensive MAC and Bobby Brown versions of gel eyeliner. The color was fantastic and now I want to try the brown. I wore it for the first time this weekend to a wedding and reception and it didn't bleed or smear or end up under my eyes after sweating. The only thing I don't like it the applicator. I highly recommend using a thin angled brush instead. I bought a great one (don't remember the brand) at Ulta. This is my new favorite make-up product.

I am so glad to have found this eye liner. It is perfect. The brush applicator is slanted and makes it easy to make a thin line, or thick smoky smudged line. It NEVER comes off or fades. The brush is soft for applying, and it is a true brown. The picture makes it look light brown, but it's a true deep, beautiful brown. I love not having to touch up my eye liner during the day, because it truly won't come off without makeup remover. Love it!

I've used many many many different gel liners, including MAC, and I feel like the HIP products work the best. It doesn't rub off AT ALL, I apply it to my waterline and it lasts all day, and it comes in so many different colors! I'm so sad you can't find them in stores anymore :(

good product, last forever. Loreal is a good makeup. Does just as well as more very expensive products. It stays on all day.

I have tried Urban Decay 24/7 and Smashbox's cream eyeliners. The only one I have not tried out of the top brands for the waterline is MAC's product. Urban Decay's eyeliner is NOT long wearing and certainly does not stay in your waterline for more than a second. Smashbox's liner is long wearing but not in my waterline. So, before trying the expensive MAC route, I went for the Loreal. I LOVE it. Stays in waterline the longest of those I have tried and is truly creamy. For the price it cannot be beat.
UPDATE: since this review is helping people, I'd like to state that it stays in the waterline PROVIDED you put a base on first like concealer and a little powder like eye shadow over it. Stuff we all already have in our make up arsenal.

I have a saggy upper eyelid so my eyeliner tends to rub off very easily. This has lead me to always use liquid eyeliner, which tends to look harsh. I tried this a couple of years ago, and for a non-liquid liner it it the BEST. It stays on without having that liquid liner look. Walgreens stopped carrying it so I was ecstatic when I found it on Amazon. The brush it comes with is fine, however I use a slightly wider one for quicker application.
