LOreal Paris Artiste Remover Waterproof

LOreal Paris Artiste Remover Waterproof

Using a super waterproof mascara (Isehan Kiss Me Heroine mascara), I really need a remover that will do the trick quickly and efficiently with minimal tugging, pulling or rubbing. I've heard good things about L'Oreal's Clean Artiste makeup remover specifically for waterproof makeup, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was really surprised to find just how fantastic this remover really is!

To be honest, after trying my old standbys of coconut oil, sweet almond oil and Pond's Cold Cream to remove my stubborn mascara, I wasn't holding out a lot of hope, so being pleasantly surprised at the Clean Artiste's effectiveness is an understatement. While the Pond's did work, I still had to do more rubbing than I'd like, but not with this stuff.

To use this remover all I do is make sure to shake the bottle well since the oils settle onto the surface of the liquid. Then I apply a bit to a cotton ball, and hold it onto my eye for about 15 seconds before wiping my waterproof eye makeup away.

The only drawback to this product is the bottle. I have no idea why, but it has one of those screw-on caps that I liken to a childproof medication pill bottle. You have to press down on the top first in order to remove it. When taking this on a trip, I used my old spill-prevention trick of placing a piece of plastic wrap over the top before replacing the lid. Big mistake. The cap wouldn't come off, so my husband ended up piercing a hole in the bottle so I could squeeze the remover into another container.

So I'd give 5 stars for the remover itself, but 1 star for the container.

This makeup remover is light and doesn't leave any oily residue behind.

Removes long lasting makeup very easily and doesn't sting the eyes. Best I've ever used.

Love it! Used to by Clinique's make up remover. Bought this one day when I ran out and will never go back! Works every bit as well!

I had been using the Almay pads, both the non-oily, and the oily, to try to get rid of the industrial strength mascara I have been using (seriously this stuff is like glue, more than any waterproof mascara I have ever used). I would use the oily, then the non-oily, then wash my face, and the mascara would still be on my lashes the next morning after I washed my face and dried with a towel.

Not with this stuff. I am very pleased that it takes off the mascara on its own, I don't have smeary black marks on my towel after I use this and wash my face.

I kind of reminds me of the Chanel I used to use but of course the price is much better.

Plain and simple, it easily removes waterproof eye makeup. I put a little on a cotton round and it quickly dissolves the mascara and eyeliner. It is a little oily, though, and it is advertised as having conditioners. I remove my contacts prior to use. No stinging or irritation, and I have very sensitive skin. In the morning my skin is hydrated. I bought mine at Walmart for less than $6.

After having tried most drugstore makeup removers out there, this is the most effective at removing eye makeup without leaving behind that yucky oily residue that many other removers do. The lock-cap mechanism is also nice. Bottom line, it works and there's no icky residual oils after.

I have been using it for a few years. This is the only thing which can remove the "kissme" mascara. Fine with sensitive eyes. Can't live without it.

I am absolutely in love with the waterproof remover that conditions lashes (not the waterproof/long wearing). It removes all make-up, with little effort and leaves you lashes conditioned. They break off less frequently, and the eyelids feel great, too.
